The cottage of La Buissière is ideally located between the cycling node-points * N° 52 and 38 and between the Province of Namur and the Province of Liège. Hence the visitor has access directly from the cottage to the Points-noeuds Network* of both Provinces !
It is also the departure point of a GRAVEL (GR-2) and close to two RAVels (Réseau Autonome des Voies Lentes- Autonomous Network of Non-motorised Paths) : the RAVel Meuse and the RAVel L142, connecting Namur to Hoegaerden via Jodoigne,

RAVeL - for Autonomous network of non-motorised paths - is a comfortable, safe network of greenways laid out mainly along towpaths and old railway lines. It includes over 1.500 km of waymarked for walking as a family, hiking, cycling, horse riding, roller skating and more.
These greenways are being gradually interconnected to form 10 regional routes and 4 international routes that cover the whole of Wallonia and are intended for cycling tourism. So using the RAVeL, the greenways and the cycling routes, you can cross Wallonia in peace and quiet along paths stretching more than 2,000 kilometers and explore towns and cities, rural areas and nature reserves !
La Buissière is 15 km away from the RAVel MEUSE ( in green on the below map) and RAVel L142 ( in green on the left of the map )- connecting Namur to Hoegaerden via Jodoigne- easily accessible from the house by followilg the "Points nœuds" (itinerary available in the cottage).

There is another way to enjoy cycling trips in Belgium, apart from the RAVeL or a cycling route: the node-points networks.
A "Points-noeuds" cycling network consists of a dense mesh of paths that intersect at node points (numbered crossroads). On the ground, at each crossroads a green marker indicates the number of the crossroads and the possible directions to the next numbers. Each link in the network is on average 5 to 8 km in length, so that loops can be created of 15, 20, 25, 30 km.
Users define their own routes depending on how far they wish to go, in a loop or in a straight line, noting in advance the series of numbers they want to follow.
To plan your route in advance - taking into account that La Buissière is located between the node points 38 and 52- we advise you to take a look at the following websites or to use the cycling map that are provided in the house :
